Getting Started

  1. 01

    30 Minute Assessment

    Everything starts by speaking with Ace’s Assistant. Explain your situation and give an overview of what you’re looking for from Ace.

  2. 02

    Approval

    After your assessment call, Ace will review your request. If he agrees to work with you, his Assistant will provide you with a quote and agreement.

  3. 03

    Orientation

    Once the agreement is signed and initial payment is made, you will be scheduled for a 60-minute Meeting with Ace to discuss your situation and/or potential next steps.

  4. 04

    Action

    Private Working Sessions are typically 90-120 minutes. Ongoing Private Advisory and On-site Assignments are subject to the scope of work and interactions agreed upon.

Ace loves Plato’s Allegory of the Cave.

People who spend time around Ace will notice things happening over time. What happens may differ from person to person, but generally things improve: A problem gets easier to see. A struggle gets easier to manage. A perspective that had been stuck starts to shift. This is because he notices what others miss, says what needs saying, and can handle a delicate or stressful situation without adding drama to it.

Rather than rip someone out of their cave, blinding them with a light they’re not ready for, Ace allows time for their eyes to adjust. When someone shares a personal story, or something complex they are building, he sees the whole picture without taking over the conversation. He marks the gaps that usually stay invisible, asks questions that bring them into view, and points out what needs fixing. The same pattern shows up when growth starts creating more pressure than progress. He offers a clear observation and a possible next step, so the person in charge can pivot and see the path in front of them.

He has also been asked into meetings and negotiations where someone wanted a second set of eyes. That has meant sitting in as a casual observer, looking out for what the person was missing, or joining as a guest so the conversation stayed constructive and the details were attended to. He has also sat in as a discreet partner, representing someone else’s interests. Whatever the room, Ace’s focus always stayed on the desired outcome of the one who invited him there.

When someone in his network has needed to decide on something with incomplete information, he has often been asked to go and check on it person. That work has taken him across the Lower Mainland and the northern parts of BC, to Gabriola Island, Saskatchewan, and Japan. He travels to the area or the site, assesses the actual conditions, and reports back, so the choice rests on what is actually there.

People who stay in conversation with him often find that their view of a situation, a decision, or a long-term pattern begins to shift. The shift may still need to be named, or it may already be clear and only need reinforcing. Often, it is about how someone relates to their own health or relationships. The person usually already knew what was required, and Ace gave them a better way of seeing and approaching it.

While the Allegory of the Cave focuses on one cave, in practice there is rarely only one. You can move from one to another, and each move is an adjustment. With Ace around, that adjustment comes faster, and with less fiction in the way. The shadows become easier to name. The real world becomes easier to face. You leave each cave with more confidence, and more certainty, than you had when you sat down.
